Treasure Hunters

Treasure hunters possess an extraordinary obsession with undiscovered hoards. There are true scholars out to study ruins among them, but also many opportunistic profiteers. As a result, treasure hunters have a mixed reputation that skews mostly negative. Upstanding ruin surveyors and artisans have always looked down on them, declining to have any dealings with them, while cautious and timid village folk fear they might harm others for wealth. Yet in adventure novels, they always take the role of legendary protagonists, fodder for enthusiastic discussion by countless readers.
