While I was harvesting wheat today, I noticed the wheat stalks move suddenly.
Thinking it was just a mischievous dog, I tossed a stone in that direction. But to my shock, the entire field shook!
I was so startled that I dropped my sickle.
Instead of the expected screams, though, I heard laughter ringing out from the wheat!

It turns out I'd stumbled upon the legendary Wheat Spirits!

Today, I got a clearer view-the Wheat Spirits are not just muscular, but their legs are impressively strong.
No wonder they can dart through the fields at such speed without harming a single stalk.
Their tattoos seem strangely familiar, like I've seen them somewhere before...
Oh well, I'll think about it later. Time for a meal.

Some Asterleeds Defense Corps soldiers came by today, asking if I'd seen any rebels. I told them I hadn't.
Then they stared at me, their eyes burning with suspicion. I couldn't help but feel a chill run down my spine.
These Asterleeds Defense Corps soldiers are even scarier than the Wheat Spirits!
By the way, the Wheat Spirits have been staying in the fields even at night lately.
Worried they might be thirsty, I decided to water them. But instead of gratitude, they told me to get lost.
