Diary Scattered in Sunken Corridor
A diary page scattered in the grass. The edges are torn and stained with mud, as if someone tried to hastily put it away, but dropped it as they ran.
Monday
By my count, it's been over half a month since I left the Pillar of Divinity, and I'm still not used to wearing ordinary clothes.
They're loose and baggy, completely lacking the solid, rigid feel of the Creed uniform.
Tuesday
That kid Seon is quite handy on Creed missions, but in everyday life—well, he's all but guaranteed to mess things up.
I asked him to fetch me some water, and he made me wait a whole two hours. When I asked him why, he said the water source here is dirty and causes hallucinations.
He even insisted he saw a school of fish swimming in a bizarre vortex in the water... Even as angry as I was, I couldn't help but laugh.
Wednesday
The artisans and alchemists are at it again. The arguments are absolutely laughable, and they're so loud I could hear them clearly from the nearby woods.
They're both camped right next to the same ruins, but they're acting like they have a blood feud.
If you ask me, the leaders of both sides need to come to the Creed and learn what it means to be open-minded.
Thursday
I have no idea what's wrong with the weather at these ruins. There's never even been a breath's worth of wind. It's almost as if the weather here never changes.
The clouds haven't seemed to move at all either, and the angle of the sunlight has barely shifted.
Perhaps the fact that our intended target hasn't arrived is affecting my mood, but the state of deadlock we're in is truly making me anxious.
Friday
Today, I asked that kid Seon to clean out the ashes from the campfire. He treated it as if I'd asked him to search and arrest someone, meticulously digging through every handful of ash he swept out.
He turned the camp into a smoky, dusty mess, and I nearly choked from coughing.
When I asked him why, he said he saw the ashes twitch a few times and was worried a monster was hiding inside.
Impulsively, I retorted that maybe it was the person drawing those vortex patterns, and that he'd better let them finish before he arrested them, so we'd have evidence.
I never imagined he'd freeze up like he did, before whimpering out, "...I really did see it."
Well, I guess at least he's developing a sense of humor.
