A Draft Sent by Mistake

A half-finished draft, its pages filled with corrections and hastily scrawled annotations.

To Anna:
(This entire section is crossed out) I want to tell you about the dream I had—I saw you, but you kept walking away from me, your back turned. No matter how I chased you, I couldn't catch up. The shadows of the trees fell like curtains, layer after layer, separating me from you.
(A scribbled note on the side: This part is too weird, don't write it.)
On a serious note, I'm actually doing okay in the Slumberdream Valley. The mission is going quite smoothly. It's just that the fog is so thick, it easily makes you hallucinate. But then again, your brother isn't one to panic in a forest—I'm very calm.
Ah, but sometimes, the fog is really annoying. You know, like that night when we were kids and had a fight, and you insisted on turning off the light. Haha, I still feel angry when I think about it now.
I'm really fine, Anna. You don't need to worry about me—nightmares and all, even if they come, they can't stop me from moving forward.

(The letter stops here, seemingly put aside for the time being.)
