In a flash, you are dragged into a vision filled with gunpowder and whispers. Fortunately, a young girl named Fafala's desperate assistance allows you both to escape. Afterward, the Priest Lothar steps in to purify the seeds, but even he seems to struggle against the power of the Illusory Blooms.
Later, you and Airona find a moment's respite at Fafala's home, where you taste the legendary Rainbean Rice and Highland Orange juice, only to discover their taste is a trial of courage in itself. Amid the laughter, you are gifted a protective talisman called a Starsoul Flask and hear strange rumors of frequent Illusory Plagues and a peculiar traveling troupe. Airona keenly senses that the highlands' Engram disturbance is converging toward the northeast—that the mine belonging to the Duchy of Byrnhald may hold clues about Hruga's Horn. With these unsolved mysteries in mind, you and she prepare to depart on an even more dangerous journey.
