But soon after, the miners are attacked by monsters, and you step forward to save those who are trapped. Andre tragically sacrifices himself to save his comrades. Following the miners' custom, you select an Astral Stone for him, leaving his memory among the stone pile. Because of this, Grieg lets down his guard and confesses that the squad is in complete disarray, and that their mining tasks and the oppression they face are constantly intensifying. Although he still worries that a rash move could endanger his fellow miners, with his brothers' support, he decides to help you. He suggests first gathering intelligence at the Mustard Tavern on the timing of the squad's searches to find an opportunity to enter the mining cave.
