Frequent Unusual Weather, Is the Illusory Plague Returning?
A flyer distributed only in the highland regions. The wording is slightly exaggerated and carries a hint of alarmism.
Thanks to the combined efforts of factions including the Pioneer Bureau and the Creed, initial steps have been taken to alleviate the Illusory Plague in the Bahamar Highlands, and the villagers there have been able to return to their normal lives.
Lallipar was even able to hold a grand celebration banquet.
At the banquet, a local villager presented hand-made gifts to the distinguished adventurers present, as if declaring to the world that the suffering was finally coming to an end.
However, a recent series of Engram Anomalies has forced people to turn their attention back to the aftermath.
Some villagers have recently reported to the Creed that they've noticed frequent, sudden changes in wind speed.
Stranger still, the wind appears to be carrying a sort of melody each time, like some sort of disjointed song...
"The sound of the wind is terrifying!
It's as if something suddenly swoops past you at high speed...
The wind took my hat along with it, but I couldn't see a soul nearby!" one villager described.
Another villager stated that he saw a strange phenomenon where the sky changed color.
"I was weeding near the village that day when I suddenly noticed the color of the grass looked a bit different.
I looked up, and bless my soul if the sky wasn't purple, like it had been dyed by Illusory Blooms!"
In addition, we have received multiple reports of strange birds being sighted, although the descriptions of the birds are inconsistent. Typically, the creatures are described as having three to nine wings and one to five legs.
The Creed is leaning toward classifying these instances as hallucinations. But the Illusory Blooms outside the village have long been eradicated, so where could they be coming from?
A High Priest who has long been involved in handling the Illusory Plague stated that everything in Regnus contains Engrams.
Normal Engrams can be infected by Xeno Engram Catalysts, transforming them into Xeno Engrams that can then cause hallucinations.
Currently, the Creed suspects that these Engram Anomalies are very likely due to an unexplained rise in Xeno Engram concentration. Although the cause has not yet been identified, it undoubtedly sounds the alarm for the highlands once again.
