The Clockwork Chicken Experiment

The artisans shifted their perspective: they no longer obsessed over how to take accurate measurements, but instead turned to using existing technology to map the errors themselves.
For the artisans, this was tantamount to swallowing their pride and admitting that they were still nothing but students in the face of nature.
An artisan apprentice proposed the hypothesis of the Uncertainty Storm: the uncertainty phenomena seemed to always accompany the passage of time and fluctuated in intensity. To prove this, the apprentice, Julien, designed an experiment. He had a clockwork chicken run at a constant speed within a fixed area to observe if its speed would be affected by the storm.
However, an astonishing thing occurred. Everyone watched as the clockwork chicken split into two—one remained at the starting line of the track, while the other was already at the finish line. Then, as if erased, both disappeared and instantly merged back into one in the middle of the track.
Even more bizarre was that when the clockwork chicken finally reached the finish line, its posture was almost exactly the same as the moment it split, as if that very second had been replayed.
The artisans proposed a possibility: perhaps the Uncertainty Storm had distorted the spacetime of the area... However, this gave rise to an even larger question—where exactly did this power capable of distorting spacetime come from?
