Coveted Treasure - Part Three

After the rumors spread, more and more people went to the Sunset Wilds to investigate, but no one found the supposed massive treasure. Some lucky few may have found a few valuable items, but the unique treasure trove that initially attracted everyone remained undiscovered.
Over time, the rumor morphed into "the treasure never existed at all," making even the treasure hunters doubt the veracity of the original claims. Still, no one wanted to return empty-handed, and the merchants didn't want the crowds to disperse before their goods were sold. The two factions argued endlessly over the treasure's existence... Even the residents of the highlands caught wind of the arguments, and gossiped about them during their free time.
