The Unknown Reply

With each phase of new results, the alchemists continued to deduce along their brand-new line of thought, wanting to restore this entirely new factor using mutated materials. However, after everything was prepared, they were surprised to find that they actually replicated two completely different crystalline bodies.
One was a Xeno Engram crystal that the alchemists called the "Sixth Factor." It was one we're already familiar with, the hallucinogenic crystal bred under the influence of Hruga's Xeno Engrams: Crimson Marrow.
The other crystal, formed after a long period of precipitation resembling dripping asphalt, was an eerie dark crystal. Even more incomprehensible was the series of unreadable patterns that appeared on its surface. These patterns intertwined and crisscrossed, then naturally fell into place, ultimately twisting into a triangular vortex, as obscure as a pupil in the abyss.
Even the alchemist's leader, who was familiar with the unknown, was left speechless by this crystal.
The pattern was precise and complex, completely unlike anything generated by nature. It looked more like the result of some human factor, though no one dared to say it out loud.
After a long while, the alchemist Flavia timidly voiced her feelings—
"Teacher... I feel... it doesn't look like an impurity. It looks more like some kind of message... It's like the crystal writing back to us."
