The Bizarre Goggles

As I used the goggles normally, the priest used his crystal to interfere with how they functioned.
First, I heard many eerie sounds, as if events and people from the past were flashing before my eyes. Soon after, all the scenes quickly twisted into an indistinguishable noise.
That noise caused the world to tilt once more. I was overtaken by a severe headache as that deeply unsettling sound transformed into an indescribable, unnamable vibration, as if the entire world had become nothing but a monotonous tapping, striking my consciousness beat by beat.
I couldn't bear the weight of it. If it continued, my consciousness would surely disintegrate, yet I'd lost control of my own body.
Seon, a Creed Guard, snatched the goggles off me just in the nick of time.
The world returned to normal, but the lingering ringing in my ears proved that everything that had just happened was real.
