A Delicate Balance

With Sabine's amnesia, everything seemed to settle down.
The three previously divided factions within the merchant organization were temporarily unified under Gaston's management. The traitor Edred was purged, and trade between the merchants and the Cabbage Mission completely collapsed.
All of this was the result of Sabine's memory loss, and her desire to mend the crumbling trust between the merchant organization and the Creed.
The merchants' dealings had always been in a gray area. Previously, Sabine had navigated around the Creed, maintaining a delicate balance without crossing the line. However, with Sabine's amnesia, this balance was no longer a certainty.

So, Gaston decided to test the Creed and gauge their stance. He had you deliver a suspicious bag of dust to Cedrick. If the priests accepted it, it meant peace remained; if they refused, business would likely have to end there.

Fortunately, they accepted the bag of dust calmly. The merchants' business was temporarily preserved, and the ecosystem of the Gloomy Depths was allowed to continue.
